A private command center for the admin side of your life.

01 What it is

Kelter is for when life admin has outgrown your head: an estate with loose ends, a debt plan, a move, a small business on the side, a health situation to track, travel with too many moving parts.

It is a way of keeping all of that in one place that you own, plus an assistant that has the whole picture when you sit down to deal with it. It helps you organize and understand. It does not give financial, legal, or medical advice.

02 How it works

1. You sit down and it tells you where things stand. What got done, what is waiting, what is due this week. You do not re-explain your situation. It already has it.
2. You say what is new, and it writes it down. A bill arrived, a call went badly, a letter needs answering. Dates and amounts go on the calendar. Everything else goes where it belongs. You never have to open a file unless you want to.
3. You work one problem with it. Before a call: what to ask for, what to say when they push back, and the numbers to have in front of you. It knows what was said last time, so you do not start over.
4. You leave with a short list. The next few things, in order. Everything else is written down and stays put until it matters.

03 Your data, in plain words

Your files, your machine. Accounts, deadlines, letters, the current state of each open problem: plain files in a folder on your computer. You can open them with anything, back them up anywhere, and take them with you.

Local files

Your information stays in files on your machine. Kelter does not keep a copy of them on a server.

Training on your data: off, and checked

Kelter never holds your data, so it has nothing to train on. The setting that matters is in your AI provider account, and on consumer accounts it defaults to on. During setup we turn it off in your account and check it together.

What leaves your machine, and why

When you work a problem with the assistant, the parts of your files relevant to that conversation are sent to the AI model provider to produce the answer. That is the only transit, and it exists so the assistant can actually help. Those conversations are held by the AI provider under your own account and the provider's terms, not by Kelter.

This website

Sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. The waitlist form stores the email you type, the note if you add one, the page you were on, and the time. That lives on a server I run. It is used only to talk with you about the beta, and it is deleted when you ask.

04 Where this stands

Kelter is in private beta. Today that means a starter kit: the file layout, the playbooks, and the assistant setup, plus hands-on help getting it running. The app is in prototype and is being shaped by what the beta needs.

The next few beta spots are set up by hand, from the waitlist.
